Artist’s Choice Exhibition
On view from Tuesday, February 2nd until Thursday, February 25th, 2010
Reception for Artists Choice is on Saturday, February 6th from 2-4 pm …
Poetry reading from the book Paumanok from 4:30pm – 6pm
b. j. spoke’s show this coming month will compare and contrast artists’ interpretations of subject matter and styles. For example b .j. spoke’s member Katherine Criss invited Rhonda Bristol to exhibit with her. These two artists met in painting class at the High School of Music & Art and have remained dedicated to their love of art and for exploring human emotions. Ms. Criss’ Webbed Man conveys the deliberateness and mystery of city life, while Ms. Bristol’s Body Language – Stressed Patience reflects a vulnerable young woman. Rhonda and Katherine treat the same subject – people -- very differently. This show is another community outreach as b .j. spoke’s members invite artists they respect and admire to join them.
