This gallery talk will focus on the history behind Supreme Mathematics and how the various symbolisms within this belief system are reflected in modern society. The symbolisms and ideology are present in several of Ducasse’s works, including new works currently featured in the exhibit. The exhibit runs through July 20, 2010.

JCAAA @ MOCA


JCAAA presents an original theatrical production, Alicia in the Wonderland Dance Club. It is a cautionary tale that updates Lewis Carroll's ' Alice's Adventures in Wonderland '. It is in conjunction with the Traditions Redefined exhibit at MOCA and will be presented Family Day, Sunday May 23rd. The production itself is free and just one of a number of community presentations with the focus on family, fun and creativity.

Traditions Redefined: The Larry and Brenda Thompson Collection of African American Art
organized by David C. Driskell Center for the Study of visual arts and the African Diaspora at
the University of Maryland presents Traditions Explained, a juried art show showing visual expression of a tradition that has been passed through several generations of your family
There will be an opening reception on Friday, May 7th 2010 7pm-9pm and the exhibit will be on display through Friday June 4th.
