Jacksonville Consortium of African American Artists (JCAAA) In collaboration with
Traditions Redefined: The Larry and Brenda Thompson Collection of African American Art
organized by David C. Driskell Center for the Study of visual arts and the African Diaspora at
the University of Maryland presents Traditions Explained, a juried art show showing visual expression of a tradition that has been passed through several generations of your family
There will be an opening reception on Friday, May 7th 2010 7pm-9pm and the exhibit will be on display through Friday June 4th.

Open to faculty and students of high school and college
Medium
All Mediums Accepted. Original Artwork Only, No images larger than 32 x 40

$25 for 3 entries
Student
First Place- $125
Second place- $75
Third Place - $50
Artworks and complete applications are due on Saturday, May 1 2010 from 10 am - 12pm at the
Art Center Cooperative at 229 Hogan Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202. Artists will be notified of
acceptance or non acceptance by Wednesday, May 5, 2010
