Call for Entries for 2010 Spring/Summer LAB Gallery at MOCA

The Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, a cultural resource of UNF, is seeking submissions for the 2010 Spring/Summer LAB Gallery Series celebrating the work of Jacksonville’s emerging African-American artists. Starting on April 22, these four LAB Gallery exhibitions will be held in conjunction with MOCA’s featured exhibition “Tradition Redefined: The Larry and Brenda Thompson Collection of African American Art.” The LAB Gallery located adjacent to the museum store is an informal display space intended to offer an exhibition and sales opportunity to emerging local and regional artists in a high-visibility downtown setting. Entry forms are due by Friday, March 26. Selected artists will be notified by Friday, April 2. For more information, contact Ben Thompson at 366-6911, ext. 206, or visit www.mocajacksonville.org/exhibitions/lab-gallery.
